Your Contributions Matter!

Hello Mamas,
I pray that you are well today by God’s grace.
This week I wanted to focus on the widow with the two mites and why your contributions will always be more than enough. God is not expecting grand gestures, God is appreciative and accepting of what you can freely give Him.
This widow approached Jesus with only two mites, but whilst man looks at the outward appearance, God looks at the heart. God is not focused on titles, accolades, money, riches and status. God cares about our heart and how we love others, the way in which we treat others and our faith in Him.
“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And He called unto Him His disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: for all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.” - Mark 12:41-44.
Do you notice how Jesus said that the widow had casted more in than all the others who casted in money and donations in abundance? It was simply because she gave with a willing heart and she gave all that she had. Jesus saw that it was coming from a good place, a humble place. She knew she did not have a great deal, but she did what she could with what she had. What sticks out to me most of all is that she was willing - she did not complain or grumble. She gave her two mites and she moved on.
Your contributions to anything you are involved in matters. Even if you think your contributions are not ‘sufficient’ they are as long as they are coming from a good place. Do what you can, give what you can and God will multiply it.
Proverbs 21:2 - "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: But the Lord pondereth the hearts."
This is not relating solely to donations or monetary gestures, but it is related to family life, your career, your friends, your family, your church, your ministry, etc. Do what you can and ask God to help with the rest, He will always do what you are unable to do.
Matthew 6:34 - "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
If you are doubting yourself and doubting your ability to do things, I would like to encourage you to lean on God’s strength and not your own. He can do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can think and imagine. Allow Him to do what you cannot do. Let Him be God.

Be of good courage Mamas!
With love,
