Encouragement for the single ladies
For many years, I struggled, I found myself focusing on finding a husband. I kept on seeing all of these couples around me or on social network sites going from courting, to engaged and then being married. I became disappointed and fed up, thinking "God when will it be my turn?!"
This is the thing, time is precious. Yesterday, last week, a month ago, even a year ago has all gone. We can never get that time back. So, I took a stand and decided that I will focus no more on something I can't do nothing about. Prayer changes things of course, but I had to trust God's timing. I had to give this to the Lord and trust that if I am to be with someone God would make it possible.
I told myself that I had to embrace my current season. Being single is not all bad, after all it is during this season that you can really get to know yourself. You can focus on God and yourself, establishing what you like and dislike. At times we have habits that we need to learn to change or even drop. This is the time to do it.
'Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.'

As women of God we cannot go out and seek a husband or seek a guy. The guy has to be the one to find us. Wouldn't you prefer a man of God pursuing you rather than you chasing a guy down? When a guy knows what they want they go for it. There's no indecisiveness, no confusion, no uncertainties. God isn't a God of confusion and when He leads your man of God to you, you will both know.
God doesn't make mistakes, in fact He is a God of perfection. He thrives on doing good and bringing His children together. God does not want you to be lonely, miserable and depressed. He wants you to be happy. If you are unable to spend time with God and you rarely speak to Him, why should He bless you with a partner? God is supposed to be our first love, we need to invest in Him in order for Hum to invest in us.
'For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'
-Jeremiah 29:11
God already has plans prepared for you. He just wants you to focus all of your attention on Him, build a relationship with Him and once you do that, you'll find yourself being content in your current season. You don't have to look at others and wish that was you, instead be happy for them. You don't know their struggle, you don't know what they faced.
Let's be content in our current season and let's spend time with the Lord, trusting Him and knowing that He will supply ALL of our needs!
